Checks for Learning As a public school it is our duty to educate your child in partnership with you. Teachers will be doing additional checks for learning over the next few weeks. It is important that you allow your child to show what they know, so that teachers can use this information to better meet your child’s learning needs. This includes not assisting your child during the checks for learning time. You may need to help them with the “testing environment” and technology, but please do not help them with content. It is important that we get a valid and true picture of learning needs as we move forward into next year. Again, the expectations are different because the learning environment is different. These are not high-stakes tests and never punitive.
