I am in education because…
I went to CU Boulder and earned a Geology degree. After college I spent a few years as a raft guide and Outward Bound instructor. Working for Outward Bound made me realize how much I enjoyed working closely with people and teaching, so I got my Masters in teaching! I taught science for 8 years before adding special education. I love figuring out how to help all types of learners.

More about my life and education...
I have a husband, Rob, and two daughters, Rory and Lea, who are in college. They both love learning and being in the wilderness as much as I do. We moved to Fort Collins 5 years ago after 17 years on Colorado’s Western Slope.
