About Mrs. Thompson
My favorite food:
Black coffee and tacos (enjoyed separately)
My favorite activity:
Exploring with my children, reading, and exercise (in that order)
Language(s) I speak:
Places I’ve been or want to go:
Europe, Mexico, and quite a bit of the United States. I’d love to go to Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
I am in education because…
I want to do my part to support an educated society and I try my best to live by the M. Mead quote, “children should not be told what to think, but how to think.”
More about my life and education...
I am a mother of two children (ages 6 and 8) who attend AXIS. I have east coast parents but was raised on the beach in southern CA. My husband is from the mid-west which brought us to CO about 1 year ago. As a youth, I played soccer as a way of life, and as an adult, I continue to watch the Premier League whenever possible. I have two teaching credentials but was primarily shaped by my interdisciplinary graduate studies at SDSU which covered courses from the sociology, philosophy, and women’s studies departments.
