About Me

Hi! My name is Liz Rand. I’m the social-emotional learning specialist at AXIS – this means I have the immense privilege of supporting teachers, staff AND students in the big picture of doing school together. School days can hold a lot of different of different emotions, and this is okay! I have worked in the mental health field in several different capacities, but this role is my favorite. I love to bring curiosity and calm to the difficult moments so that these can be a place to learn too. 

Outside of school, I love to make room for creative expression (collage & knitting are my faves) and time outdoors with my family (bicycles please). I am 100% a life-long learner and have a silly streak for sure.
