I am a teacher because…
I am a teacher because I have a passion for learning and I want to inspire young people to love learning too!
More about my life and education...
I have been an educator for over 20 years in which I have served students and families as a classroom teacher, special education generalist, special programs transition coordinator, program specialist and as an adjunct instructor at the post-secondary level. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, SD and a master’s degree in K-12 Administration from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. I currently hold a teaching license in the states of South Dakota, Wyoming, and Colorado and an administrative license in the state of South Dakota.
I am married to the love of my life, Tom, and together we have raised six children: Thea, Taylor, Logan, Hailee, Braydn and Wren. We are granparents to three beautiful grandchildren: Danny, Mina and Ayla. We also have a fiesty cat named Fishsticks and a bossy dog named Squshy Roo.
