Who We Are
The School Accountability Committee (SAC) brings together families, staff, and community members to create and implement a plan to promote high achievement within a school. This committee meets throughout the school year to present the opportunity for key stakeholders (namely parents and AXIS staff + teachers) to have a voice in their school.
School Accountability Committees (SAC) are required for every public school in Colorado, including Charter Schools. Minimum membership requirements consist of at least seven members as follows: 
  • The Principal or Principal's designee
  • At least one teacher 
  • A Board Representative 
  • At least three parents 
  • A community member

About AXIS Coffee Talk (SAC) Meetings: 
We look forward to having you participate in the Coffee Talks (SAC) meetings. At these meetings you can expect to be introduced to AXIS administration and SAC members, an opportunity to observe AXIS in action through classroom observations, information related to school accountability items (i.e. UIP, budgets, etc.) as well as a chance for general questions. 

The Coffee Talks occur approximately once a month on these dates:
  • September 8: 8:15-9:15AM 
  • October 17: 2:00-3:00PM 
  • January 12: 12:00-1:00PM
  • February 13: 8:15-9:15AM
  • March 28: 2:00-3:00PM
  • April 18: 12:00-1:00PM

How to Get Involved
There are many opportunities to get involved at AXIS during the school year. Classroom specific opportunities will be shared by your child's teacher, but there are also plenty of school-wide opportunities that you check out via the "volunteer with us" button below.
