Welcome to Adult Language Classes at AXIS!
The goal of Adult Language Classes at AXIS is to engage families and develop a sense of community within our school and the greater community through language learning.
Programming is available to current AXIS families, in addition to ALL community members age 18+ (invite your friends and neighbors to join!).

Registration Information:
Cost of class is determined by the instructor. Please note that all class payments will be made directly to the vendor via the specified payment forms. Payment is due in cash or check on the first day of class, unless otherwise stated by the vendor. Please do not make any payments to AXIS directly.

French Adult Language Class: Pluma Academy
AXIS is excited to introduce a new partnership with Pluma Academy for French classes!
Fall dates: October 3 - December 12
Grammatica II: 5:30-7:30pm on Tuesdays (no class November 21st)
About The Class:
Pluma Academy is proud to bring French classes for adults at AXIS International Academy. We will offer beginner level 2 this fall. More information here: https://plumaacademy.com/school
Enrollment includes:
--10 sessions (2 hours each)
--3 months of subscription to Pluma (a $30 value), our Learning Platform (texts to read, quizzes, games, audio recordings, etc.)

About the Instructor:
Zel Gabriel recently graduated from Colorado State University with an M.A. in French Language, Literature, & Culture and an M.A. in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has taught French and English both in the U.S. and abroad. Through her teaching, she strives to help students achieve not only grammatical competence, but also communicative fluency and confidence. She is excited to partner with Pluma Academy to bring their engaging, authentic French lessons to the Fort Collins area.

About the Instructor:
Hello! My name is Hong Yan. I grew up happily in a big family in China and moved to Colorado with my husband and son in 2012. I have been teaching for about 20 years, 10 years in China and 8 years in the United States. As an official ACTFL OPI Tester of Chinese, I am looking forward to teaching my native language and sharing Chinese culture with you!

In our winter-spring session, you will get the experience of storytelling, go-real oral language practice, authentic food making, and table culture.
You will Learn:
- How to pronounce words properly in Chinese.
- Ways to get correct tones, to know irregular rules in tones.
- Read in phrases.
- Basic rules of Chinese writing: strokes, radicals.
- Be familiar with basic self-introduction content: greeting, name, number, color, family members…
- Make basic dialogues.

About the Instructors:
Beginner Class: My name is Viridiana Tinoco and I have 10 years of experience in the classroom as an elementary school teacher in a public school in Mexico. More recently, for the last year I have been teaching Spanish in Fort Collins to students of all ages. I am always looking for innovative, exciting and fun ways to teach.
Intermediate Class: Hello, my name is Ana Mendoza, I am from Cali, Colombia, and Spanish is my native language. I love to dance salsa and spend quality time with my family. I am a professional with more than 10 years of teaching experience. One of my skills is to use technological and didactic tools to teach according to the learning styles and needs of my students. Since I am a mother of a 3-year-old boy, I have learned to be creative and resourceful when it comes to teaching children. Now, in Fort Collins, I work as a Spanish tutor at 123 Spanish without Stress teaching children and adults and I am excited to learn together and share our culture.
