Amazing Athletes is back, under new management, with the fun and challenging classes your children love!
Get active with Amazing Athletes this winter at AXIS!
In Amazing Athletes (Preschool & PreK) kids will learn the basics of 10 different sports in a fun, non-competitive, learning- based environment.  These include football, baseball, volleyball, soccer, hockey, track & field, golf, tennis, basketball and lacrosse. Each week we warm up with kid friendly exercises, work on speed and agility in our obstacle course, cover skills in two sports, and even learn muscle terminology and nutrition in this action packed 45-minute class.
In Amazing Athletes PE (K-2) we will build on these multi-sport skills in fun, team-oriented games that build knowledge and self-confidence in an expanded 60-minute class.
About the teacher, Logan Hastings: Coach Logan has over 15 years experience coaching developmental, recreation and competitive sports.  She owned the Amazing Athletes program, running classes across Colorado from 2009-2021, and she and her husband were thrilled to be asked to return this fall!  She grew up a competitive swimmer and tennis player, finished top 10 in her age group in the Breckenridge Spartan Beast and was part of a national champion women's bowling team.

Thursdays 3:25-4:25pm
Students will learn the fundamentals of clay hand building in this class. We will progress from basic pinch pots to more advanced projects. All projects will require kiln firing, they will be taken to our studio, and then returned the following week. Most projects will be kiln fired twice, once after being created, then again after being painted.
About Artisan You: Artisan You is a Paint Your Own Pottery studio also offering Glass Fusing and Hand Building with Clay, located in Downtown Loveland. We also go out to schools, offering classes. Our studio has been in business since 2010. Janna Flores is one of the owners of Artisan You. She has been teaching art for 14 years. Her favorite art mediums are fused glass and clay. Malachi Gillespie has been an intern, then a staff member at Artisan You for 1 year. Outside of work he loves spending time with his younger brothers.

Thursdays 3:25-4:25pm
Ms. Cheyla, our caring, fun and professional Dance instructor will introduce your child to Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop and Tumbling skills. We provide age-appropriate music and an action-packed class. Students will benefit by building their memory, concentration, coordination, creativity and self-confidence, all in a positive atmosphere. Sign up today! There will be a performance at the end of the session.
About the owner, Vel Green: Vel was born to dance, inspire, motivate and make everything more fun! Energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about what she does, she began a career in dance/cheer and fitness in California at the age of 15. She later became a Dance and Cheer franchise owner for WEBBY Dance Company, which gained her a great deal of experience. She and her family relocated to Fort Collins in 2009.
Vel also has a heart for the Special Needs Community as she has been the Panther Coach in Fort Collins the last 13 years. She is looking forward to sharing the love of dance and cheer with the AXIS Community.

Fridays 3:25-4:25pm

Tuesdays 3:25-4:25pm
We have been providing fun yoga classes for kids and families since 2014. FBY is owned and operated by a PSD teacher who loves kids, teaching, AND yoga. Your child can come "zen out" after school! We'll be stretching, strengthening, breathing, posing and playing yoga games to promote great health, relaxation, coordination, anxiety-reduction, and most of all-FUN! If your child is craving movement and exercise without the competition, this is the class for them.

Tuesdays & Thursdays 3:25-4:25pm
Our Mission it to provide Taekwondo instruction allowing students to develop leadership and teamwork skills using equitable practices. Jenny and Jiri have been teaching this afterschool program since 2018 and it is the highlight of their week. Outside of teaching Taekwondo, Jenny works full-time at CSU and Jiri is a Park Ranger for Colorado Parks and Wildlife Services.
Students can expect to learn Olympic-style Taekwondo also known as World Federation Taekwondo. Our classes look different each day, so one day you can expect an obstacle course or balancing games and the next day we may be sparring or practicing kicking and punching. We want students to not only learn the Taekwondo curriculum but to have fun while doing it. We have students taking part for a variety reasons, some are focused on getting their black belt, or competing in tournaments, while others just want to have a fun time with their friends. We adapt to meet the different needs of each child to help them reach their goals.

Preschool & PreK: Fridays 3:25pm-4:10pm
K-2nd Grade: Fridays 3:25pm-4:25pm
Welcome to Mighty Kicks- the premier soccer program for children! Mighty Kicks is more than a soccer program. Our creative curriculum, coaches, and high energy classes provide your child with experiences that apply both on and off the soccer field. Our curriculum was designed to enhance your child’s growth and development in confidence, coordination, character, social skills, and basic soccer techniques. The result is an impactful soccer program for kids that will create memories and skills that last a lifetime.  We have been a part of the Northern Colorado community since 2012 and can't wait for you to join us this season!
The Mighty Kicks after school program at AXIS will focus on developing your child's soccer skills and techniques using our proprietary curriculum as well as expose your child to game concepts. Our focus will be to educate your child on understanding the game concepts of soccer while implementing and utilizing the skills and strategies taught through our curriculum to gain confidence throughout the season. Each hour session will consist of 35-40 minutes of instruction followed by a 20-25 minutes 3v3 or 4v4 game.

Go under the sea as mermaids, mermen and sea creatures in this 9 week after-school class at A.X.I.S. Enrich!
Performers will concentrate on developing a wide range of vocal, physical, and imaginative skills. They will be challenged to break out of their comfort zone while tapping into their own creativity, gain self-confidence, and experience working collaboratively with others. These concepts are fundamentals that all performers work on to continue their growth as an artist through theater games, improv, and theater basics. The class finishes with a showcase for friends and family on the final day (May 15).
About the theater teacher, Michelle Pelletier: As an acting and wellbeing teacher over the past 30 years, Michelle has created multiple arts and wellbeing programs for adults and children for use in theatres, schools, universities, spas and online platforms (where she’s taught close to 1K families how to find quiet on the inside). She received her BA from New College of California in Culture, Ecology and Sustainability with a focus in Spirituality and Theatre and is a graduate of American Conservatory Theater. She ran an award-winning children’s theatre program in Sonoma County CA., co-created the curriculum for the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival Kid’s Training, and led theatre and mindfulness training within schools and theaters from AK. to CA. to NM. to MA. She is the owner of Golden Child Meditation and the proud mama to her 14-year-old son, Jade. His wise presence inspired her to write, Golden Child: Meditation for Children and Your Inner Child, to help other families learn simple and effective meditation tools to bring calm into their homes.

Fridays 3:25-4:25pm
At Play-Well TEKnologies, we are dedicated to teaching STEAM through play and interaction with LEGO. Our programs and curriculum are designed by a specified curriculum team who are dedicated to creating projects that are engaging, challenging, and provide tools to learn real- world concepts. Our engineering-based programs are set up to introduce children grades preK-8 to new terms and provide understanding of those terms through application to the building process as well as the world they already know. Our programs are centered around LEGO building and engineering/STEM concepts. Each day is different and designed to teach the students something new through building a related car, train, animal, etc and the mechanisms required for it. Students work individually, in teams, and as a group throughout the sessions. A short discussion and demonstration of the days project starts each meeting. Instructors will relate the project to the “real world” and discuss its purpose to the community. Projects are rotated seasonally to ensure that both new and returning students can explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system.

Thursdays 3:25-4:25pm

Hand selected, fingerprint background checked, and trained in the "Science Matters Way," the instructors combine fun and science inquiry. That's how our slogan "Where Science and Fun are One" came to be!
